Years Of Experience
My Roots in the Wild Growing up surrounded by the untamed wildlife of the Osa Peninsula, it was impossible not to fall in love with nature. For me, photography began as a deep-seated need to capture fleeting moments and relive them forever. Although my journey took me to the city for high school, the absence of birds only strengthened my bond with the wild. I knew I had to return to my roots.
The Journey of an Ornithologist Upon returning, I dedicated myself to the tourism industry, starting at a local garden where I officially identified my first species using a field guide. That spark turned into a 20-year career as a professional birder and ornithologist. I spent years honing my craft with nothing but a phone and a spotting scope—limitations that taught me the patience and precision required to truly see nature.
Our Mission Today Today, at Royalty Birds, I’ve traded that phone for professional-grade equipment, but the feeling remains the same. My goal is to share the magic of the Osa Peninsula with visitors from around the world. We offer more than just birding tours in Costa Rica; we provide a professional, respectful, and deeply personal connection to the environment, led by someone who has lived and breathed this forest for a lifetime.
The Osa Peninsula has carved deeply into my spirit and now I wish to share a bit of that with people from all over the world.
